Travel Berkey Water Filter

Since I don’t drink out of my water tank on the camper van, I made sure to get a Berkey water filter right away to filter the water coming from the camper van water tank.

I absolutely love it and it’s so economical since the filters last for 6,000 gallons. It will be years before I purchase any more filters.

Specs:

  • The Travel Berkey Water Filter holds 1.5 gallons of water
  • 2 gallons per hour water filtering
  • Includes 2 Black Berkey Filters which is good for 6000 gallons
  • Also includes 2 PF2 Filters to filter arsenic and fluoride among others.

Travel Berkey Water Filter Review

The whole reason I purchased the Travel Berkey Water Filter was so I could have good, clean, filtered drinking water without having to buy the gallon water jugs each week, which is what I was doing in my other RV. Since the camper van is much smaller, I needed to make sure I limited the items in the van. Plus I reduce plastic consumption and it’s cheaper for me to fill directly from my faucet connected to the camper van water tank.

The water tastes really great. No weird smells or funny taste.

I have it strapped into my camper van on this small ledge with a suitcase strap around it and the headrest to the side of the ledge. Works perfect when traveling, small, and at 1.5 gallon capacity it’s exactly what I needed.

At night I fill it up and by morning I have clean, filtered water to drink.
