weBoost Drive Cell Signal Booster Review
Quite literally one of my favorite RV gear products. I must have a connection most of the time when I travel for conference calls, loading videos to YouTube, marketing, and the occasional Netflix binge. Since I love to boondock in the wild where cell towers aren’t always as plentiful, the weBoost Drive cell booster has literally saved me at times from having to move locations, because I could pick up enough signal to surf the Internet, edit my videos, and upload to YouTube.
It’s a must have if you decide to transition into a life of travel on the road and work remotely. Since changing RVs from the Winnebago Spirit to the Hymer Aktiv camper van, I switched out the large white roof antenna (only because I didn’t want to poke holes in the camper van) and purchased the weBoost mobile antennas that have earth magnets to just throw on top of the roof and remove when I leave. Though I’ve been known to forget and go to my next destination and saw that it was still on top. It is connected to a wire that runs into the camper van, so worst case scenario if it went flying off was it would dangle on the side and probably scrape my paint.
The mobile antennas a very small compared to the large white one that comes in this package. I haven’t found any differences in coverage so far with the mobile antennas either.
I even test it out every once in a while to see what the cell signal strength is boosted vs not boosted and it’s amazing to see the difference. It really works well!
